RMK MARINE HAS USED
RMK MARINE has used a new application method for the hull painting for Nazenin V the Sparkman & Stephens 52m ketch currently under construction.
The Awlgrip paint team were on hand throughout the process which was carried out by subcontractors Karma at the Tuzla yard.
The Project Manager explained the process used for the first time at RMK “The staging was completely removed to avoid dust and a custom enclosure was erected with a complete cover shrink wrapped in place. Air was then pumped in from atmosphere via very large, long filters high in the tent and it was then exhausted to atmosphere via equally large filters”.
The whole process took 6 hours to spray the 52m ketch with 4 coats to produce a really excellent finish. The next stage on the build is the Mast Stepping on Nazenin V which is due to be launched later this year.
RMK MARINE currently has a busy order book with the new Dubois designed Oysters are now in production with the first of class of each already ordered. The hull is well under construction for the 45m Ron Holland designed Ocean capable Motor Yacht.
