Monaco Yacht Show

Monaco Yacht Show

RMK Marine is pleased to announce that twill be attending the Monaco Yacht Show, scheduled between 28 September – 1 October 2022 in the Principality of Monaco. The stand, this year, is to be found at Appontement Jules Soccal JS18.

This is really a busy time for RMK Marine. With three large projects underway - not counting the multitude of refitting works which have contributed to the reputation of the Turkish shipyard – RMK Marine is entering a completely new phase of its history, which started almost 45 years ago.

The projects in question are the 37-metre RMK120, the 50-metre Aries and the Ivan Erdevicki-designed 65-metre ice & polar class yacht ER65 (build #NB126), which after completion will deprive the 52-metre ketch Nazenin V of the shipyard’s “flagship” title. Whilst the class design phase of the ER65 is in progress, and its first steel cutting is expected to occur by the end of the current year, the other mentioned yachts are already under build.

The construction of the RMK120 (build #NB122), to be named Seven Seas, is being finalized. Outfitting proceeds at full pace for an on-time delivery, which is scheduled for May 2023. The client, an experienced yachtsman from Canada who is planning to spend long periods at sea, has recently chosen the internal layout and the interior loose furniture that is currently being crafted. Later this year, when the yacht’s steel hull will be painted in navy blue, the RMK120 will assume its foreseen look. A high bow, a pocket size, expert naval architecture and tough seaworthiness are central to the design of this yacht that is the result of the sixth collaboration between the Dutch studio Vripack and RMK Marine.

As per Aries (build #124), class drawings, naval architecture and engineering are being finalized. The cutting of the first steel sheets is approaching, and the shipyard – which is currently seeking a customer for this jewel to be - does not want to miss the opportunity to complete the yacht by July 2024.

Designed by the renowned Hot Lab studio of Milan, Aries is an elegant yet robust 499GT exploring yacht that will have many arrows in its quiver. One of these is to be found at the aft deck. Thanks to folding-down bulwarks, this area is fitted with a hidden crane, can store large tenders and be readily converted into a very spacious beach club purposely created to experience the sea at all levels and with all the senses. Other characteristics of Aries will be the range, exceeding 5,000 nautical miles, and the propulsion system, to be configured either with conventional diesel engines, or as mixed diesel-electric, with lower fuel consumption. And meanwhile, the 6-cabin layout and interior will be fully customized by Hot Lab and the builder according to the owner’s taste.
