This very precious piece of art was first ordered by the Ottoman Prince Burhaneddin Efendi as a sport rowing boat. The construction of the caique was so fragile causing total loss of shape and strength. The simple but high-grade construction was consisting of 5 different wood species perfectly restored using traditional craftsmanship.
